Sydneysider, no garage??? I don't know how you guys do it. I am too scared to leave any of my cars outside. And because I live in the city and have multiple cars, I end up paying $250 a month just for the extra car parks!

Yeh I htink I would prefer the black gloss over the aluminium. Might be a bit much with SGM and black leather though. Hmmm

Nope. I put all my $$ into my car!

It's an offstreet parking secured by remote access rollerdoor but I am planning to get retractable roof installed over it. Then again it's simpler just moving house.

The things I do for the car...

Yeah the brushed aluminium is an Australian non-cost option. I am getting used to the "bubble boy" now. It still looks plasticy though.

Dealer would probably have entered in the order incorrectly therefore they will have to fit the bill ($1500 for interior trim approx) as you have said they would.

Ironically, I chose the M-sport package...

Went to the dealer this pm to pick up my car. Found that instead of the brushed alu trim I got the M sports bubble boy easter egg alu trim instead. Also got the white plates instead of the White Euro's that I'd requested. Argh.

It's a great car though.

Went to the dealers with my friend and it started hailing. Thankfully it stopped by the time I left. Phew.

Bad points. The wipers go the wrong way and there's a diagonal line that marks across the driver's field of vision.

Otherwise happy with everything so far.

Not speeding - driving like a grandma.

So the deal is that they will order the alu trim and swap it over. But it's going to be a 3-4 months' wait. Ugh.

The step paddles...

Bubble trim. Prob not that bad.

Will add the outside shots tomorrow. Pretty happy with the sound system and the CA is quite cool.
...just so I could get the aluminum glacier trim. It's the only way to get it here. I think it looks great.

That's very interesting.

I wanted the "bubble boy" trim, but when i got the car, it had the brushed aluminium. Doesn't look bad, but not what I was wanting.

Anywho, when I mentioned it, the SA checked with the order girl. She brings out the E82 brochure, and sure enough, no "bubble boy", just the accented aluminium! " Not available in Aus," they say.

This is very interesting! When I mentioned it, they commented that it might be an easy "refit" of the trim if it were available. Maybe you could get them to do a refit of your bubbles with the brushed?

I might have another chat to them. Good pics of the trim would be appreciated.

I've gone from Dark Poplar to Accented Aluminium and back to the Bubble Boy look as the option, for when I get my car.

They had an SGM 135 Demo at Northshore with the Dark Poplar, and I didn't like it as much. They also had a Black 135 Demo there too with the Bubble look, and it reminds me of the r32. I think I can live with it

I quite like the bubble trim.. had my gf and her gf in the car and they both really like it! With black trim it really looks nice. Although I'm set on carbon fiber later down the track...

The bubble trim really was designed for the 1 series M sports pac.
The brushed alloy is virtually standard across the 3 series range.

I think Bubble Boy is staying. I just can't be bothered getting the trim switched!

Apparently the trim comes out really easily so upgrading to carbon fibre wont be a problem.
