The better half in her wisdom has told me to go and get some Champane for Sunday for her and the other girls for when we stop/s!!
Firstly - is this aloud? Its about the cars! Second - who will have some and how much should I bring (will be better than 'Yellow')? Third - Im thinking to could mellow them out for the "spirited" driving so they dont winge? Any ones thoughts?? |

Glad to hear you were joshing, Joe. I thought that might have been the case ... but only AFTER I posted that reply. Ooops. Rest assured that roadworks on one little stretch of road won't stop us from enjoying plenty of other country backroad driving.
Chris ... bubbles for the girls sounds like a nice idea. We will probably be stopping for lunch at Kangaroo Valley pub (again) since they have a great "beer garden" and plenty of off-street parking. The weather forecast is looking promising so it should hopefully be very pleasant sitting outside for lunch. I'm sure the girls could pick up some bubbles from the bar, or you might be able to sneak a bottle under the table.

Looks like we'll have at least a couple of MINIs joining the 135s this Sunday. Watch out - JohnG and Snapper set a cracking pace!

We should hit Albion Park Rail at around 10am for a fuel top-up. Given the discussion around fuel preferences in another thread, I think we'll stop at the BP on the Princes Hwy in Albion Park Rail. From there, we'll be heading to Macquarie Pass via a detour through Marshall Mount and Calderwood.

Hey Yep135 & oldman ... I've been planning a route for Sunday and reckon it might work better if we meet you at the BP servo in Albion Park Rail. That'd mean you get to test Macquarie Pass before meeting up with us ... a tough ask, I know . If you're OK with this, then we can skip the Pie Shop and make our lunch stop at Kangaroo Valley Pub by a decent time.
On the leg from the BP servo to Macquarie Pass , I've got a special little detour that will please the camera-buffs ... you won't want to miss this. We can also stop at the Pie Shop on the return leg for afternoon tea.
