Are we all getting side tracked with the us dollar? What I mean is the AUD is actually doing quite well against the British pound as well. I've noticed a few things are actually cheaper coming from the uk.

Mate the reality is it's fucking random. The customs duty you get charged changes every time (even for the same things) and the "additional fees" you can get hit with are arbitary and ill defined.

In the end The Sopranos at the wharf must get fed so you pay up to get your stuff.

Hey gang, sorry to bring up an old thread but thought this might be worth mentioning as some time as passed and a few of us are itching to take advantage of the strong AUD.

We only need 5 more people to make this happen. It's a considerably cheap mod and we really need to keep track of how much boost we're running!

That's a great price you paid. Which vendor did you purchase from?

http://www.ddmtuning.com/

Very cheap OEM parts and shipping is cheap as well.
I bounce between uk bmminiparts and ECS tuning in the usa.

Thanks mate, I'll look into it now. I've used BMMINI before and just ordered through Dan@United recently as he was a bit cheaper but parts haven't shipped out yet

That's interesting, I've been quoted $200 and $250 from the same person for the HPF FMIC!

The AMS design is very nice, it's probably my favourite along with the HPF.

I am thinking intercooler, maybe downpipes... maybe swaybar...
Guys, don't forget that the downpipes won't fit if you're buying them from the States. They need to be RHD downpipes for our cars. Andrew from Southern BM had issues trying to install LHD downpipes during the early 135i days...

That's not correct. I installed AR Design downpipes and they fit just fine.

yeh I know a few people who have installed ar downpipes to rhd cars with no issues, I think there is only issues when you start trying to fit the cheaper brands like VK and AP etc.

You have to specifically ask for a RHD version, the AR Design ones come in RHD.

It's a great time to buy wheels. I bought myself some of these from TireRack a few weeks back when the dollar was only at US92¢. I should have held my nerve!
