If you buy a car ex GST you have to pay GST at the time you onsell the car. Generally you sell for less than you bought so the GST is less at sale time.
This generally come hand in hand with a Novation agreement. |

Your car is a ripper, and very well priced. I imagine it will walk out the door pretty soon. Good luck. I would have been very tempted if I hadn't bought the M3.

I know you're kidding Raj but I don't think there's any wrong with it but rather that it's finally being reduced to a more realistic price.
I think that most 1M owners were a bit optimistic in thinking that they could have their cake, eat it, and then sell what's left of it for the same price or more than what they paid for it in the first place Most cars depreciate ~20% as soon as they're driven out of the dealership. I understand that it's a limited production car etc etc but still... When new (and overpriced) 1Ms are still on the floor in stealerships how can one expect to sell a used example for the just under, the same, or vastly more (e.g. the $140k optimist ) than the new one? I have nothing against people for trying but in the end the rules of supply and demand always win.

If mine had only traveled 2-3000k's and was a 2012 build I would be wanting more money too. It is still a long wait till a new coupe arrives let alone an M2, in the meantime this is THE best 1 Series car money can buy in my opinion. The market will dictate, in fact 1 hour after dropping the price this AM I got a call (the first one) on the car, a gent is flying into Canberra from Sydney later today to look/buy the car. |

I think it's current price is pretty reasonable when compared to the other advertised vehicles and current new car prices. Anyone who gets it is a lucky bugger. Good luck with the sale!
