My mechanic said I need to replace the rear shock absorber. I dont track, just daily drive, any suggestion?
I found two different brands which are Monroe and Bilstein, which one is better?

Unless you're going to upgrade, go with a stock replacement shock.

Do you have the part number?? The two I listed above are recommend by my mechanic, and he said they are both stock shocks.

Those might be mechanical replacements of the stock shock (made by ZF/Sachs), but they are likely to result in different vehicle dynamics.

Check here for stock part #1

If a single shock needs to be replaced then tell your mechanic to call the dealer and replace the one shock with an OEM unit.

If you are replacing a PAIR of shocks you can consider the options.

You probably should still stick with OEM Buy you could replace say, both front or both rear shocks with aftermarket shocks.

Ideally if you are going to aftermarket shucks you would want to replace all FOUR shocks and struts.

I would select bilstein over Monroe.
