Almost stalled while idling?

So I was outside talking to a friend and I left my car idling for maybe 10 mins.. All of a sudden I could hear the engine almost stall and it happened 3 times consecutively. Could this be a HPFP problem or what

I suggest to you don't leave your car at the idle more thant 2 min.In the same time 10min it's not 1h.I hope for you it's not the HPFP.It happen to me in the trafic the car shut down.It not really cool beleive me.Check with your dealer.

Sorry to ride on this thread, but i encounter a similar issue. My car was stuck in a traffic jam and suddenly, RPM drops and engine stalled on me.

The 2nd time happened when i turned the engine on for about 2 mins, then switch it back off, and turned it on almost immediately and in 2 seconds, it stalled.

A check with the dealer and he says nothing's wrong, it's normal for RPM levels to fall back and forth - lame answer.

The car is less than a year old and has since stalled twice after owning it for 2 months. Could this be the HPFP issue? Should i drill down on this when i send this off to the dealer again?

Please help!

check for any loose couplers, there may be a boost leak somewhere

Yes i did suspect so, since while idling, i experience inconsistent RPM and especially when the car comes towards a stop.

Sometimes at slow speeds, RPM goes up slightly, scaring the daylights out of me!
