Disconnecting battery

I'm going to be doing a suspension install tonight and I planned on disconnecting the negative terminal of the battery since electrical parts will be touched. I did a search and only found results for replacing a battery.

From what I've read, the car needs to be coded when replacing the battery due to it being newer and will need to update the charging characteristics. With only disconnecting the battery and plugging it back in I would assume that the computer will not need to be coded due to it being the same battery and will not need any new info for it.

Just trying to be careful before doing this, I don't want to unnecessarily need to take it anywhere from coding. Can someone clear this up for me?

Whatever happens, DO NOT close the trunk after disconnecting the battery! There's no other way in!
