Perth owners....know anyone that grunts up BMWs?
I'm kinda getting the urge to tweak the 135i. Anyone aware of Perth operators who do reasonably legit mods that increases grunt and are unlikely to result in a yellow sticker?
I looked at the postings on the $11k ACS setup but obviously that's not available here. That would have done me fine, especially the fact it was BMW-compliant. I'm too old (45) to drive around in a blinged-up Xmas tree and would prefer the car to look stock but sound and perform a bit gruntier. Thanks.

Sorry, can't help, but we'll have to catch up next month for a photoshoot if you're game, gotta show these East-Coasters how it's done.

In fact before you order, your vin is taken and the car is reported to Vic Roads as an off road vehicle, if your pulled over, your car will be trucked away. Also BMW have no facility to modify your tune here locally, or are they willing to purchase it. That's the info i recieved, i', just passing it on. Andrew |

Yes i have looked into it. Dinan is not supported by BMW here in Australia so you loose the warranty aspect that the USA owners have at there disposal. This is the main attraction to the Dinan product as people believe you will not break the factory warranty. So i looked at the option of self insuring as they do, but we just don't have the market here to support it, especially at the cost of the raw tune, plus all the software, cabling, the pass through tooling, server setups, interfaces etc etc. The other issue i see is that they will not do a tune for our Australian conditions. What i mean is as the fuel is different here to USA, ambient conditions, altitude and car set ups, (ie oil coolers etc) are all different then i can't have the support i need to have the Dinan tune 'with in safe' for our cars. So at the moment, Dinan are not on my radar, but i am always open for discussion about it.
I hope i have answered the question fully for you. |

LOL alot of us here are in our 40's and think/feel the same way, so your not alone on that one  I suppose here in Melb. we're very lucky to have Andrew at Southern (and WAY doing alot of the field testing) but for you guys interstate, I'd look into getting the JB3, you could always check with Kris, to see what his results/review of this install has gone. |
