Options have not been finalized yet. I told Max most guys want their models to look like US spec 1M's. Orange turn signals, shadowline window trim, chrome grills painted trunk spoiler.

I know some guys will want CF bits and black wheels, etc. We will see what Max decides very soon.

Orange turn signals? They, US owners, would probably give a small fortune to get rid of those from their actual cars, why would anyone want them on a 1:18?

Plus, there are lots of non-US pre-orders in your list, please don't risk loosing most of them; devil is in details Dack. If it would help Max we could even vote in a poll to choose the configuration of die cast models, just in case he can't give options to people. I definitely hope he can though.

I just used the orange turn signals as an example. I know a lot of guys will want the clear euro style. Same thing goes for the various EU and US trim choices. Max is putting together some packages which each person can opt for.

74 countries are left-driving, that is RHD, while 166 are right-driving, LHD. 33% of the world population lives in the former.

Yes, I know there are two other companies that are rushing to get some 1:18 models out this year. I believe Minichamps(Max) will be first and have a far better quality than these other lesser known companies.


And besides... this GT Sprint 1:18 model is not even out yet.

Quoting from their website...

The E82 BMW 1M was one of the most requested models in 1:18th scale and it will finally be released. The team at GT Spirit have listened, and the BMW compact powerhouse will soon see light. Model is still in pre-production phase, taillights are due to be updated based on the provided images. No specific release date has been set but model is expected summer 2014. Only 2000 pieces will be made with a special blue edition in the works. No plans for a white version to be developed at this time.

Quoting from their website...

Yes the MINICHAMPS one is the official BMW CAD sourced model with opening features . The GT Spirit is the model that is Manufactured in resin , meaning no openings , details etc... But also uses the CAD from BMW. As BMW have to give approval for anything that is designed , engineered or manufactured at BMW.
Miniatures have to be approved from the BMW design department.


I have ordered the 1M from both as I am on the forum.de , Delivery for the GT Spirit is in June , they also have an M3 GTS arriving soon. Despite being Resin they are faithful to the 1/1 scale of the model.
