Angry 09 iDrive Problems

My car was recently in the shop replacing the whole dashboard because of the airbag dent. Durin this time it was reprogrammed with the "latest software".

I use my system infrequently. However today using the points of interest, I find that it doesn't know anything anymore. Destinations that were there before are now gone. I tried searching for the largest park in Seattle, Mercedes Benz, Porsche, etc and the system didn't know these destinations when it previously did. Has anyone had these problems?

I am just so sick of this crap. I feel like I am driving an Audi or a Ferrari with the amount of time this car spends in the shop

Sorry to hear that, man! Sucks when computers don't work as they should. That said, I've had no problems with my iDrive (2010) and I use it everyday. I love it! (...then again, I am an IT guy so...go figure!) I'd go back to the dealer and have a talk with them about it.

I stopped by the dealer for another unrelated problem regarding the passenger airbag

They said that there have been reports of iDrive problems and there is a new update that is released this week and they should have it available beginning next week
