^^^Yes it is a Scirocco. I just looked a few this week while here in Deutschland....it IS pretty nice...but underwhelming at the same time. It is like a nice Golf....

I think it's a good attempt to bring it back. looks kinda like civic coupe meets hyundai genesis coupe

Trust me in person it does not evoke Scirocco....to me it looks like a seriously chopped and tuned Golf....

i actually like the scirocco- i wish they had it here, looks better than the gti imho

i think its more an immitation:
a/ the front lights immitate the shape of the 1ers light's
b/ see the "lines" in the fog light area, the mercedes c classe has the same "lines"

but hey thats my opinion!

i liked the old sciroccos. and i like that scirocco. but they dont look the same. nor does it resemble a bmw 1 in almost any faculty beyond the tii white with a black stripe theme, but does that matter at all?

what engine is going to be in that? when is it out? i dont really pay attention to vws but thats got my attention..

exactly- the sketches and the car (the new one) have been out for a while, I don't think they copied the 1 at all

...is the best form of flattery; however this this not very flattering. There are similarities, but mostly there are differences- there can't be another ONE.

To me, this is shaped more like the 2004 Acura RSX-TypeS I traded for the Bimmer.....My two cents anyway.......

wonder why they went with scirroco over corrado for naming? thats probably my favorite vw of all time and seems a lot more similar in my mind
