Slice in tire tread? OK to DE?
First, anybody have any ideas how this could happen? 99% sure it's not vandalism, that just wouldn't make sense.
Second, opinions on whether or not this tire would be OK to DE on? The logical side of me says to replace it, but there's a good amount of tread left on the tire, so I am torn by the finances. Also I've already decided to switch to PSS's for my next set, so I'd have to buy a new RR tire to match. My fronts are pretty low (maybe 1 more DE in them), so I'd probably just replace those at the same time. Thanks! |

Safety isn't something you wanna f. with, especially on track. It is not AutoX. Additionally, you might not pass on track tech (if they do) with that tire.

Can you see any cords? Holding air fine? I would seriously doubt you'll have any issue. I would run it, but I'm young and dumb.
