New Grill
Hey everyone,
Anyone have any pictures/prices/suggestions for a new grill for the 135? I don't like the stock plastic one that comes with the car, but i DONT want it to look rice! Know what i mean? Anyone have any good websites where I can get one for a good price? Maybe a DIY out there? Thanks, V PS: Not the kidney grill....the actual grill Last edited by vladr; 02-08-2011 at 11:12 PM.. There's plenty of options out there. Shadowline (gloss black), matte black, CF, painted to match your exterior color..
I haven't seen anyone with these though: http://www.bimmian.com/82/RMG/ I've always wanted them but could never justify the price. Still, they look pretty sweet (and they're not just for the kidney grilles, either, you can match with the openings on the lower part of the bumper)..

^ I think those are some pretty hideous autozone looking grilles...
Gloss Black / Shadowline is the way to go. Mine:

You say not the kidney grill. Are you talking about what is in front of the IC?

I hated the lower grill also. I gave up finding a solution and just got a black anodized FMIC which helps tons.

**********s, bimmian, and others sell these. Pretty pricey though. I'm considering removing the lower grilles on the sides but I don't think the e82 looks right without a fmic grill of some sort. |

Anyone want to comment on this? I want to paint my lower grill matte black because the plastic fades and doesn't match my kidney grills. I popped out the top and bottom sections and see it's just attached by clips similar to the kidney grills but I'm having trouble with the ends. Should I use some more muscle? I was a little scared I might break something so I stopped. I'm really hoping I don't have to remove the front bumper.
Thanks! |

did you buy the lower mesh (not the kidney mesh) pre-cut/shaped or did you just buy some mesh somewhere and cut it yourself? |
