I would guess the answer to that is no. I return from Germany on the 20th. Shoot me a PM on the 21st and I can look into it for you once I am back in the states.

I am waiting for production to complete so everyone that has ordered a car and is interested can participate in the GB. There is no rush to add this warranty or maintenance package since you are covered by the factory one for years to come.

I can contact around and see what rates I can find but id like to wait until production ends so we can get everyone who has purchased the car to participate.

EXTENDED SERVICE PROGRAM

The extended service program is a direct extension of the free maintenance program that comes with the car (4yr/50K) it adds 2yrs/50k giving a total 6yr/100k.

**If your vehicle is eligible, you may be able to purchase an upgrade, which provides your vehicle with 2 years/50,000 miles additional maintenance coverage. When purchased, this upgrade extends your total maintenance coverage period up to 6 years/100,000 miles. This upgrade option also extends the standard 4 years/unlimited mileage BMW Roadside Assistance Program benefit period by an additional 2 years/unlimited mileage for a total of 6 years/unlimited mileage.

http://www.bmwusa.com/Standard/Conte...intenance.aspx

The MSRP on that is $3295 for the 1M and $2095 for the 135

Pricing for all BMW models is here http://www.bmwusa.com/Standard/Conte...ceUpgrade.aspx

We can try to accommodate everyone and every model if necessary

EXTENDED VEHICLE PROTECTION

The extended warranty (extended vehicle protection) plan comes in 3 levels (powertrain plus, gold, platinum).

PT plus is basic (does NOT cover steering, brakes, AC, and others)

Gold adds the above mentioned and more to the PT plus

Platinum adds radio/CD/NAV coverage to the gold

You can download a PDF here for explanation http://www.bmwusa.com/Standard/Conte...rotection.aspx

I plan to only price out the gold and platinum packages because people either got stripped cars or loaded cars. I dont think anyone would be interested in the PT plus plan (let me know if you are).

Also, the plans vary from 5-7 years with 100k miles. There is an oddball 7yr/70k option. To be clear this is 5-7 years from the IN SERVICE DATE.

MSRP on these ranges from $4230-6350 for the Gold and $4740-7180 for the platinuum.

I will do my best to accommodate everyone into a plan that fits both their needs and finances.

Oh man, THE infamous pacific BMW. I would rather pull out of the group buy and pay double the price than to send business your way. Nothing personal to you Daniel, but your dealer has burned some big effin bridges.

BTW, I'm sure pacific is doing LESS business with "BMW enthusiasts" these days.

id rather pay more at a different dealer. You guys are the most unprofessional and crappiest dealer out of the whole BMW NA dealer network. Seriously go shoot your owner and manager and than go work at a real dealership.

So folks tell us how you really feel. No need to sugar coat it.

Daniel, are you offering the warranty at 20% under invoice? Then you *might* get some business.

No offense to anyone but I know which dealerships treated me professionally and which were downright rude to me when I was 1M hunting as well as 135 hunting.

I will not be contacting dealerships that treated me badly and I dont think anyone is interested in sending their money to Pacific BMW. I wouldnt do our members wrong like that.

This thread is not open for dealers and finance guys to solicit their services and now try to earn my/our business when they see a payday. If you treated me right the first time around you will get a shot to give us the best price. If you were rude well you should have considered how that would affect future business from me. I am not a casual car buyer. I am already planning to do ED with an M5.

Please add me to list (2009 135i). I am interested in 7 yr/100k Gold EVP

I have driven BMWs since 1974 and, in my opinion, this is the most valuable "performance" modifications you can make. Given the inherent nature of the turbo, the aggressive driving style of most of us and the level of modifications being performed by large number of the community members, there are going to be a lot of mechanical problems down the road. Frankly I am concerned that these factors may have a long term impact on the ultimate perception of the 1 as a problem car. I also expect that BMW will become even more reluctant (then they already are) about honoring warranty claims when they suspect any abuse or modifications. Considering the amount of cash that people are dropping on their cars (which will not increase the value of the car), the cost of the EVP seems to me worth the investment for an additional 2 yrs/20k or 50k miles of driving piece of mind.

Any news on whether this is available for Canadian's as of yet? We have a special offer to buy an extended warrantee from BMW on all 2011's but the deal is still not attractive as the coverage is something over $5000.00+++

Sorry I am still in Germany, you can easily contact your local dealership and ask if they will honor extended warranties purchased from US dealers, or call a US dealer and ask if what they sell will be honored in Canada. For thoroughness do both.
