Not much, I figure. I bought one of these hoods used, but have decided not to use it. The vents are small and are not in an optimal position for heat extraction [purposes.
Instead, I'll be adding some vents to my stock hood. Neil |

Hmm interesting. I want a vented hood but i am very concerned about water drainage. The new corvettes hood has some type of drainage around the vent

Do you have to use hood pins with this? I dont really like the look of them.

Have you considered using ceramic coating to the exhaust manifold and a turbo blanket to combat underhood temps? I take it the underhood temps are causing some of the performance issues you experienced during One Lap?

But with all the new power, I anticipate that IATa are likely to be an issue on hot days during long track sessions at Summit Point, VIR, etc. In addition to venting the hood, I'll likely improve my cold air intake system and may increase my fueling capacity so I can run E30-E40 since ethanol is so effective in cooling charge temps. I believe you but just curious. Why doesn't the car pictured have pins or evidence of a latching mechanism? Could it be steel?

Anyone have ideas on this? I've seen other pictures of people with this type of hood with no hood pins and I'd like to know how they do this as well.

I have heard that you can use carbon fiber hoods without the aerocatch... but you should never go above a certain speed. |
