New to me 2011 135i

Hey guys, I bought a 135i Saturday afternoon. It's an 2011 with the N55 and the 7-speed duel clutch auto. I'm not completely sure what packages came with the car because I was mostly focused on getting the right car at the right price with that engine and transmission combo. Is there anywhere I could plug my VIN in and it would be able to tell me what I have?

I know I have Xenon headlights that move, cold weather package, and no iDrive.

Thanks!

Congrats on your 135i! Please post some pictures!

Here are good VIN decoder websites:

http://www.rubmw.ru/vincode/eng/

How do you like your car so far?

I love the car. I need to get another radar detector because it's too easy to go fast in it and you really just don't feel like it's moving all that fast. Haha, I came from driving pickups the past 10 years so this is different.

Agree on the speed. It doesn't seem all that fast until you see you're hitting 90 in no time.

The VIN decoders come in handy. I scoped mine out before I bought so I had just about what I wanted except the smokers package for the power outlet.

How do you like the DCT? Try launch control yet?

It's kinda weird. Cool, but weird. It has manual feel to it when your crawling or creeping forward in traffic and it can be "jerky" like a manual when you're not quite in the right gear for the situation. I have not tried launch control. Kinda wish I new how to use it Saturday night, haha.

Launch Control from the manual:

Launch Control enables an optimum acceleration when starting off on a road surface with good traction.
Do not use Launch Control too often; otherwise, the powerful stresses on the vehicle will lead to premature component wear.<
Launch Control is ready for use when the engine is at operating temperature, i.e. after uninterrupted travel of at least 6.2 miles/10 km.
1. With the engine running, step on the brake with your left foot.
2. Activate Dynamic Traction Control (DTC), refer to page, 72.
3. Activate Driving dynamics control, refer to page 55.
4. With the vehicle stationary, activate the manual mode and select 1st gear.
5. With your right foot, push the accelerator pedal past the resistance point. The accel- eration speed is adjusted. A flag symbol appears in the instrument cluster.
6. When you release the brake pedal, the vehi- cle accelerates. Keep the accelerator pedal floored.
7. The upshifting occurs automatically as long as you keep the accelerator pedal pressed past the resistance point.
Launch Control will be ready for use again after you drive a certain distance.
Launch Control is not available for use during the break-in phase, refer to page 104.
To maintain driving stability, keep DSC activated whenever possible.<
