Dyno run done today
I wanted to get a dyno reading just to get an idea of some real world numbers for the new wheels and was able to get out of the office long enough to have one done.
Big props to Michael @ OPM for taking the time to do this for me, thanks again mate! Air temp was about 32 and humidity low at 27% which wasn't ideal for a strong reading, but it still managed 198.8 killer wasps ATW. Altitude here is about 600m above sea-level. Run was done in 4th to 6500rpm (where strangely enough it looks like peak power has been governed to a maximum?). Might have to take it back in June on a rainy night to crack 200  The power curve is so straight and it just climbs beautifully in a nice line. This isn't a "how high can you piss" post, but more a sharing of information. |

mattyv, great stuff!! Well done. This is a great idea for people wanting to start modding the car. I too got 200.8 RW killer wasps on a DynaPak Dyno
What dyno did your operator use? Hub or Roller? |

Roller I think? I say this as there were rollers the wheels spun around on...
I'll check the readouts but I think it is a DynoDynamics machine. |

If only the drive train was that light.
I would be more inclined to think the power figure quoted on paper is conservative.

Hey Matt, as you only picked up your car this week, you probably can't be sure what fuel was originally in it. Even if you've added some 98, it may be mixed with 95 (or less..?) so that you may not be making max possible power. Not that what you got out of it is anything slack!

Hey mattyv ... did you get any AFR and boost pressure data? Would be interested to see the graphs posted if you do.

I was still debating on which car to get... but after I have seen this I am heavily lean on the 135i now, over EVO MR and Audi TTS.
Well done. The only thing is any automatic 135i being dyno????

You'll just have to wait with baited breath until Monday when I can abuse the scanner at my office. Tim- good point about the fuel. I'd hope they use 98 to fill it as it's the minimum recommended you can never be sure. |
