my 128i...just the start...

So I bought my car a few months ago. It's a 2011 128i and it's only got 25k km on it(I'm Canadian lol) it's an automatic, but meh, my wife has to drive it. I've retired my TL and I'm going to use it as my winter car, along with my truck fir the winter, Bimmer gets summer only treatment.

So far I've only debadged it, matte blacked the grills and threw on a set of eibachs. Still rides beautifully. Anyways, here are a couple of cell phone pics of it, I'll get some good ones in a couple weeks with a couple buddies of mine.

During painting the grills

After...obviously..excuse the bugs, before I washed it.

Just a quick shot of the herd, pre lowered/grills

Enjoy, or not, whatever lol

All the regulars lol I try and do different things with my cars to set them apart from others, as you can tell from my TL, but it seems pretty hard to do with these.

Definitely doing some legit wheels next summer. Custom exhaust, instead of the regular bmwpe etc I will do some more suspension mods.

I hate the factory stereo, id like to do something with it, but it doesn't sound easy.

There are some great custom exhaust mods you can do. Check out the 125i/128i exhaust media thread.

^Because you don't have to. As you can tell, it was prepped properly without removing them, turned out great...so...yikes? Lol

You should have pulled them out, or like me who is lazy, put newspaper over your radiator. If you used plastidip, you now have rubber covering your radiator. Nonetheless, nice car!

For the 10 seconds it takes to pull the grills out and not risk any overspray v. spending a good chunk of time masking and making sure everything's covered? :

Dude, it was a quick pic after I started pulling shit out from behind the grills. Maybe it took an extra couple minutes, who gives a fuck, there's no overspray and it looks good BECAUSE IT WAS PREPPED PROPERLY.

Seriously, get over it bro, my step dad is an award winning paint and body man, I MIGHT know a thing or 2.

Before you start talking shit, know the story, don't go off of one quick picture, it was just a reference pic that I took when I remembered to take a before and after pic.

Now we can move on.

im not trying argue with you "bro" just trying to help the next guy along. I can clearly see through the grill and look at your radiator so I raised a concern... just saying. Welcome to the 1'er Family
