Correct. But with not all tires being the same. a 245 R888 have the same if not more tread surface as a street 255. Tire sizes have to be taken with a grain of salt. I already tested a 275 NT-01 (similar to R888). it fits the car, and it is wider then summer 285 tires.

Update for you guys: Apex is sending us a sample F/R wheel to do some additional testing on. We're going to put it through some more range of motion tests to test the size limits of what we can do with this wheel.

Kudos to Apex for helping us with all of the testing to make sure YOU guys are getting the correct wheel. Will update you guys with the pics!

Just pulled the trigger through the Apex site.

Question for Eddy, is the satin black equivalent to piano black? Ordered the hypersilver, but would reconsider color choice if I can get the piano black.

Satin black is a semi gloss (low gloss)

here is an example of finishes that illustrates the different blacks

That helps. Looks like the gloss black is more like piano black. Guess I'll stick with the hypersilver. Thanks Eddy for the clarification! Looking forward to getting the new wheels.

Any better shots of hyperblack? I'm still on the fence between hyperblack and hypersilver.

3. is listed twice on the 18 x9.5 list

Also, can I change my color preference to hyperblack? I looked at the pics and I'm liking what I see.

Filling the wheel well with the most rubber possible looks weird to you? I think we're getting triple bang for the buck here, with magnum size rubber, decent looks, and light weight.

Looking at my stock wheels I can't help thinking that would look odd for street usage.

For the track, I guess noone really cares as long as there is no rubbing. I also understand changing the camber on the front would change things.

I don't intend on tracking my car.
the purpose of these wheels are for the track as stated in the thread title. Eddy seems to be coming out with something in the near future that looks to be more street oriented.

More power to you track racers.
Hi, you're right, but it's hard to know the end result before we get the wheels and install them on the car. Front wheels are practical because they have a lot of clearance for big brakes (that we already know no to fit on stock wheels) for those interested by this type of upgrade.
About the tire sizes, I'll go for 225 or 235 front and 265 rear, which will fit easily on these wheels. It's not always the good solution to put the max possible width on a rim, because it's not the way tyre is best used. Sometimes a 235 will be better that a 255 on the same wheel. I'll go for Michelin Pilot sport Cup for my track days, and these tires like to be streched (sorry, I don't know if it translate and makes sense to you ).

About the inch added to the outside (F) and inside (R), if you look at stock wheels, front is much more in the inside than rear. And as I said, APEX front rims will add the clearance we need for BBK, but I recon 1 inch more is a lot. At the end, we will always have the possiblity to add spacer on rear wheels to match front, but I doubt it will be necessary. Let's see in couple of months

Cheers
