According to the BMW Welt/Museum FB page... http://www.facebook.com/bmw.welt the very last 1 Series M Coupe has been delivered to Dietmar Götzmann at the BMW Welt recently. Götzmann (left) is the general manager partner of Uwe Ratzel GmbH & Co. KG (BMW Zentrum/dealership). It is unclear when Dietmar Götzmann had taken delivery of his 1M. But we believe it to be recently.

Google translation...
Reward for good work: The latest BMW 1 Series M Coupe has been handed over to the BMW Welt on Dietmar Götzmann. Götzmann (left) is the managing partner of the dealership Uwe Ratzel GmbH & Co. KG, which has achieved an excellent annual result. The car is now being transformed by an artist.

The car was Uwe Holzer (center), pass wire Southwestern sales at BMW Germany, and by Jörg Georgi (right), Head of Sales and Marketing Southwestern sales at BMW Germany.

This is very cool. It amazing to me how long the 1M was built after the November 11 order deadline in the USA.

Thanks for posting

Better solution: get wheel locks.

Getting these is a no-brainer: these protect your car 24/7 against lazy wheel thieves (professional thieves who definitely want to steal your wheels, will get these anyways).

The ones pictured below perfectly fit the 1M (size: M12x1.5) (see: http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=567004).

McGard 27179 sub - Black finish head ("Black Edition") ($40.95 for a set at Tire Rack)

Thanks, I see it now. I missed it on my first look at their FB page.

Luckily those three 7er's were used cars. It says in German the dealer is offering an 1.000,-€ reward.

EU production (according to the latest RealOEM.com info) months are from Sept 2010, until June, 2012. Plus we know BMW built a few special order 1M's with special paint colors for well connected customers. The "Green Mamba" comes to mind. That car was built in Oct, 2012.

Wasn't the Green Mamba built in June 2012 and delivered in July 2012 (pictures) ?

"Vor rund fünf Wochen [22 June 2012] konnten wir exklusiv das erste Bild der ŤGreen Mambať im Werk Leipzig zeigen (http://www.bimmertoday.de/2012/06/22...-in-java-grun/), nun [29 July 2012] folgten wir auch der Einladung zur Abholung des im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes einzigartigen BMW 1er M Coupé in der BMW Welt München." (http://www.bimmertoday.de/2012/07/29...-in-java-grun/).

Was also noted: "Rumors point to the last four cars being reserved for high ranking M employees and BMW AG brass. All of those final cars were built as one-offs through Individual"

Yes, Luc - you are right. I said October but I meant June!

When I was at Leipzig in September, 2012 - the factory guide there told me they made six or seven special colored 1M's. He couldn't remember exactly. And they were made a few months after the production "officially" ended.
Two were in that green color(only the Green Mamba had the black stripes). He said they made two in yellow (Dakar and another yellow - Speed?) Polaris Silver, and a red and blue one. But the guy was kind of flaky on the details and his BMW knowledge... so I did not put much faith in what he said.

He also said EOP was back in Feb or March, 2012 - but I do not believe that to be the case. But then they built a few special colored cars like the Green Mamba in June.

I can only say when I toured Leipzig (in late Sept) - there were no 1M's being built.

I have no idea what the "back story" is on this car. Maybe they built it and held it in some warehouse. ? Maybe it was a special new build ?

I do not think we will know - what the story is. Its strange that BMW put the pics on the Welt's FB page though.

Pretty sure they continued taking orders in Europe for 2013's. The US was cut off after the 2012 model run ended, though.

Thanks for sharing!

Very true!

Thanks again for posting. I am wishing I had another reason to visit the Welt. Maybe for Oktoberfest?

There are no 1Ms built after the end of June 2012. There is more than enough evidence of it and the total production number etc. in internet, most posted in this Forum, some directly from official BMW sources (like the one when they announced the polo shirts). This doesn't mean that every car that has been built till that time was already sold or gone right after the production. Lots of countries received extra units in addition to their original quotas during 2012 and some of those cars for sure waited their first owners in show rooms long time. In Latin America and in Europe there may still be a few waiting. I have seen newly registered 1Ms here just a few months ago and heard that 3rd and last 1M sold in Turkey (where I put the order for mine back in 2011) went to its owner last December after waiting many months in the show room. A member recently posted that there are some new 1Ms still available in Germany, which I found a bit surprising by the way.

There is no mystery about it, just badly planned and even worse executed production and allocation from BMW. Markets either didn't get enough of it or got more than they need. I got mine and that's all I care for

The USA ordering was Done by November of 2011. 1M Production started in March of 2011. Pretty sure by BMW's account that all production ended last summer 2012 for World Consumption.

Possible that some of these cars were held back By BMW as Dealer promotional cars etc. But I feel pretty confident in saying that all cars were built again by Summer 2012.

A few special cars like the Green Mamba were most likely built for top level BMW corp people since many special color requests were denied for customers, however these cars were also built by last summer.

So no ones interested in the casual reference to 'being transformed by an artist' statement? That's the story here. I'd love to know know more about who's doing the work, if he's doing an 'art car' etc.
