Oh well if you are doing it just the front half, you will need to do the half sideskirt custom piece that Sk8fe did. He had a shop mate a 1M side skirt with a 135i side skirt, if you look carefully at the pics on the first page of this thread, the 1m skirts wont mate with the old section(neither will 135i skirts of any kind mate with the new front section).

That's because he was using the 135i battery compartment, with a 1M battery compartment you can run any 1M-based exhaust. (There's a little more to it than that, but I don't want to spoil this thread ) Patience is a virtue, OP or me will surely deliver once the whole project is done.

The width will probably look good. You can run a squared set up.

Please search the forums for Sk8fe's build. He did just the 1M front end and had his sideskirts custom modified. You will not be able to line up the 1M front fenders to 135i sideskirts. You should get 1M skirts and have the rear of them modified to fit the 135i or get your 135i skirts modified to the front fenders.

I think you're mistaken, because if he had the 1M front end + fenders, it would look weird with the stock side skirts. They aren't wide enough to match up well according to Marco's pics.

Well I meant if he went aftermarket rather than OEM he could do it, he could also do what sk8fe did

I figure he meant weird as in the front looking out of place with the back end, which actually makes the car look more square.

Just got word from GT Haus that my exhaust system shipped. Thanks Einser for making me go $2k over budget

I will update this log this week with more detailed photos of the front end and this weekend will either update with the car being transported to LA or the anticipated 1M battery tray mod/exhaust.
