What a waste unless it was a preproduction model already destined for the crusher.

"Art lovers attending an exhibition opening in Bregenz, Austria, recently were treated to an unusual sight: an ensemble of eleven Porsche 911s cast in concrete. Equally impressive was the amount of time and money artist Gottfried Bechtold spent on the work, entitled Elf Elf (“Eleven Eleven”) - 500,000 euros and 8,500 hours over two years.
[...]
However, Porsche did offer crucial support by donating the prototype for the casts. After the Carrera S had served its purpose, the artist turned it into an installation of its own. He had it crushed to about one-fifth of its original volume and displayed the cube of metal along with a demijohn containing all the car’s fluids. Thus, although all the “ingredients” of the sports car are still there - even the key is still in the ignition - the “recipe” has been altered irreversibly."

The ones pictured below perfectly fit the 1M (size: M12x1.5) (see: http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=567004).

What if one gets five (5) different wheel locks (one for each bolt). That should discourage them slightly What say you ,,, also never ever leave your babe out in the cold, I would not do it with my wife and the same goes for my car(s).

Just saying

One recommendation I saw was to park very close and near a wall (thieves like to get all four wheels and this would stop them cold).

I learned how to break wheel locks in high school auto shop. It's not that hard. You'd have to be really lazy.

All thieves are lazy otherwise they'd work for things lol.

I have to agree- I have always bought a set for every car I've owned. One car had two sets on it. lol

At this point I can neither confirm or deny.... But technically the E82 Coupe body remains in production until the summer at least so it would not be difficult to do.
If a one-off for a special occasion or perk?

Somebody at BMW has a Techno Violet 1M. And that really suits the car.

Seriously, other than for Pope Benedict XVI retirement gift who has the pull to get a one off 1 M?

I remember this from years back. No wonder Germans listen to Rammstein.

BTW the last 1M in '13?
What an awesome car this is.

One guy recently posted that he is considering buying the very very last 1M...in Saudi Arabia. We all backed his enthusiasm here and told him to buy it without delay. So maybe that's the real last 1M?

Doesn't change the simplest fact that if that's a 1M it was built before July 2012, period. However, I do agree that Pope Ratzinger deserves a one-off for his retirement, hell they could even call it a 2014 model if he desires so

Ya either 5 different wheel locks or no wheel locks at all. Friend of mine told me that the thief was pissed and took out all the wheel bolts and left only wheel locks in. He didn't notice it and drove away... and you can imagine the consequences.
