Were you spying on me?

Btw, Andy, as you saw, I'm still pretty low riding.

C'est impossible'!

I doubt the spring twisted - actually, it really can't twist. Do you think the top nut loosened up again? Are you using locktite on it, like I mentioned before?

I havent been able to find a reverse torx socket. Had to order one and it hasnt come yet. Havent had a chance to tighten it down completely with locktite because I cant get the damn allen wrench in there yet. Hopefully this week. I actually had to tighten it again this morning as it came loose again.

Larry, does that nut on the camber plate touch your strut tower at max camber? I was thinkin I might have to dremmel the tower to get that last few millimeters. thoughts/suggestions?

On my car, the nut can swing over to the tower (and slightly underneath it), but mine is 3/8" away from there right now. I would really urge you to not dremel the strut tower, as that lip does provide stiffness to the tower.

If you are tightening that top nut with only a wrench, then you're really not getting it tight at all, since you'll just start turning the strut piston. You probably know that though....

Btw, why do you want to slide it over more? Are you still rubbing, and if so, have you rolled the inside fender lip yet?

LOL yeah i know I cant get it real tight, but a wrench is better than nothin. I cant do anything cause everything i need is in the mail. Just trying to think of ways to make more room. thats all. I actually meant dremmel the three holes in the tower where the three nuts are.

Ever since I decided to take a different way home I have not bottomed out and I actually don't mind the way it rides. The noises should soon be gone too with a little locktite. And my fender roller kit arrived today.

Suggestion: post a thread on the chapter website, asking if somebody will allow you to rent (or borrow) theirs. I know of a few people with them in the chapter. I have to assume that if I know of a couple there are many more.

Maybe it'll cost you a 6-pack to borrow one.

Ok, noises all gone again. Fender tool works as promised. Still not enough clearance right in the middle of the tire. Raising car 1/2 inch on saturday!

Yay my dashboard has no lights anymore!!!! Also raised the strut 1/2" on both sides. Its closer to being an even drop now too. Ride seems to have improved slightly. guessing because it shifted some weight to the rear. I am not even going to try to fit the wheels until next weekend. I am having the front fenders rolled on friday the 26th.

You sure that you still need the roll now? Worth a check... I thought you already used your tool to flatten the lip..

Flattened the lip. Still rubbed in the middle. I have plenty of free time this weekend with megan gone so I might as well give it another shot. I was planning on swapping on my perf wheels anyways.

Cool! I gotta say that I have a new respect for this setup, now that we've had a few warmer days. Hochimama, I got some grip on acceleration. It's still far too sandy to get a decent appreciation for cornering abilities.
