Toyo Tire Problem
Hi All,
have any of you experienced tires making a swooshing sound when driving? I bought brand new Toyo Proxes and after a couple hundred miles it started. At first i thought it was the wheels bearings. i took to dealer and they put it on the rack and put in drive no noise. The tires are expanding on the surface area of the ground grabbing the road making the noise. There is nothing rubbing anywhere on the car. i had my guy dismount and and remount tires. the noise went away now after a couple more hundred miles it started again. Any solutions? thank you Last edited by RUFone; 07-16-2013 at 12:45 PM.. |

I have seen something similar on other cars. Sometimes the shape of the bead of the tire and the lip of the rim go together in such a way it produces a squeaking noise as the tire flexes as it spins. Just the way it sometimes happens. Really, the only way to correct that is to go with a different brand of tire.
. . . . Or turn up the radio. |
