*urgent*pcv valve and oil catch can

had developed a leaked tracked it down pulled my pcv valve and was frozen took some muscling to get it free and is not finally, my question to someone who is experienced, underneath the pcv valve where you hook the tbing up to, there's that box sorta thing that's is there, is it just like a breather box,can it be deleted? and just have the bms oil catch can ,go straight into the pcv valve housing on the valve cover?...... any help would be greatly appreciated
