Noise When Braking

E82 1M
2200-ish km only..
heard a kind of high pitched voice, noise,, when braking
like almost when the car is about to stop..
mostly happen when i would like to stop at a big speedbump..
i'm pretty sure the noise came from the brakes.. sometimes the noise is quite big.. thought it was rust on the brakes but no.. the brakes are totally clean.

0-5/mph...
should i be worried about this

maybe this is a trigger for ordering brembo sets i've always dream for

These Russian guys followed your advice, Dan, but it turned out not to be foul/fool proof.

If it is the typical break squeal/squeak, then check this:

Dayaaam! I don't speak Russian but I'd love to get a translation after the wreck. The casual 12 o'clock steering wheel position at high speed says a lot.

+2. Those guys who hold the wheel with one hand at 12'Oclock are the ones with a bloddy broken nose after a crash. The airbag goes off and they punch themselves in the face! lol

Its just nuts to drive THAT fast in a tunnel or on a public road with (much)slower traffic. Its even difficult over here to drive fast bc of conditions(weather, traffic, inexperienced visiting drives from other "lands").

Just bc you can go fast doesn't always mean one should drive fast.

read in the manual books..
yes if the car are not use in a noticable period of time, the breaks may make a squealling noise...

This brake noise issue has come up dozens of times here but I'm not going to tell you to use the search function because that sucks.

#1 rule when owning a good German car is to remember you are in a machine. German engineers always want to remind the driver and this makes the experience memorable. Even the interior bits need extra strength to function.
