Help me choose exhuast parts
I want to get a louder exhaust but I dont want it to still be silent at idle.
I dont know what parts to replace with what and what brand I should get. Is there any clips where I can preview the sound?

I have the N54 in my 335i, I just disabled the exhaust valve (golf tee mod). Everyone loves it. It has a great growl at speed (nothing too loud except at WOT) and is still "pretty" quiet at idle.
I disabled the exhaust valve by disconnecting the wire behind my left rear taillight, not by removing the vacuum hose that goes to the actual exhaust flap. It's free and harmless. I meant this in past tense** I'm running no mufflers now.

There are tons of videos and also a ton of combinations it really comes down to personal preference and hearing it in person will be the best way to make a decision
i like my Active Autowerke downpipes (n54 mids) and Berk Ceramic Race Delete im planning on switching to n55 mids to get a little more sound

This. Sounds so amazing! I finally got my exhaust right where I want it with a little trial and error.. BMS Downpipe, BMW PE resonator delete and stock 135i muffler. It's perfect because with the slight drone I get at lower RPM's from the res delete, the CANflap gets rid of, but when I wanna have some fun I can simply open it up via JB4.. Perfect. The only reason I don't have a PE is because I want my exhaust flapper

I gather you are referring to the exhaust installed on N54 335is cars? The N55 135is is delivered with the OEM PE, perhaps that isn't the case with the 335is? I'm probably confusing apples and oranges...

this is our GEN I exhaust with stock downpipes.
GEN II exhaust with stock downpipes GEN II exhaust with performance downpipes. as you can see the GEN II exhaust sound is bit similar to that of the BMW PE.

I have listened to a lot of clips and decided I like the Meisterschaft HP the most, I think it has a very refined sound with good characteristics which is what I am after but it is loud at idle, is there a way I can make it quiet at 2-2.5k revs?
This is the clip I like I did not like the sound of the BMW PE.

After hearing some bad things about GT Haus I have decided to go with Bastuck.
