New 2012 135i cars
I was looking over the features of the new 2012 135i coups and noticed that navigation is no longer featured as an option in the cars? Am I correct?

It is certainly still available in the USA. I just placed my factory order a few weeks ago and it was definitely an option

He could be right, actually. Nav is no longer available on the configurator at bmwusa.com. In fact all of the options seem to have been winnowed considerably, possibly just within the last few days.
The Premium package is also gone. Some of those features may have been rolled in, but they're still charging $1500 extra for leather seats so I'm not sure.

Other changes:
- HK sound system shows as an option, but is not selectable - BMW Apps removed (makes sense if Nav is also gone) The Features & Specs page still lists all the old options, including Nav.

I am actually surprised by this post as a whole....they are updating the website....just a temporary thing. Not a big deal.

Yup. This same thing happens EVERY YEAR. What is most surprising to me is that a car company as large as BMW doesn't have a test environment in which to test these things then just have it go live at midnight on some random night. Making these changes "live" is pretty rookie...

Yeah, noticed some weird things on the BMW USA configurator tonight. According to it, my replacement vehicle couldn't be built according to the build sheet I received.

Agreed about the failure to test. A little absurd considering the expectation of german precision
I scanned over the September pricing that was previously published here a while back and was wondering if the retail cost of my car has gone down some. |

Didn't mean to upset everyone....I was just configuring a car on BMW.com website and couldn't add navigation as an option?

The options are correctly listed on the "Packages & Options page under "Features and Specs".
http://www.bmwusa.com/Standard/Conte...ndOptions.aspx And this does seem to happen every year. Tom |

I test drove three cars when I bought mine and one had nav. It must be an option. I heard its not a high priority for 1 owners though. It wasnt for me. I bought a $400 garmin that has more features and weighs 1/4 as much. Plus it comes with me when I want it too.

I don't see how it can be anything other than an error, but it sure seems odd that the Web site wasn't corrected going into the Labor Day weekend, which is a very popular time to buy a new car in this country.
