Maintenance Filter INJEN?

Friends! Filter disposable or reusable? How to clean it properly? How often should it be cleaned? Wash it with soapy water and dry vacuum cleaner or clean it? Or throw out and buy a new one?

you can get a K&N recharge kit from advance (or any auto parts store), also you can pressure wash it (it says so in the manual)

Was the filter not previously oiled? Should be red with oil?

Quote:
Air flow test have proven that cotton-gauze filters flow much more air than paper element filters do. However, when they get dirty, they can clog up and limit air flow. This is one reason why you should clean your air filter with Injen's filter cleaner kit. The kit contains Injen's filter cleaner that loosens and removes dirt trapping capabilities. Injen's filter oil contains a red dye to easily see where the oil has saturated into the filter, eliminating the common mistake of over oiling the filter. When used correctly, Injen's filter cleaner kit can maintain the life and performance of your Injen high-flow filter and Cool Flow air intake system.

Injen Pro Tech Charger Kit for all Injen RS Race Division, RD Race Division, Short Ram and E Series Air Intake Filter
You sure you have the right filter on there?

My injen looks the same, they have dry filters and oiled filters. Most buy the dry because of ease of maintenance and if you oil too heavily it ruins the MAF sensor.

If it's the dry, just rense from the inside of the filter out with a garden hose and let dry. NEVER use high pressure or a pressure washer on any air filter!!! If its the oiled version, which it doesn't appear to be, buy a k&n recharge kit and follow instructions.
