You said they are going on sale this weekend? I might get a pair if priced decently. I raised the voltage on my halogens, but 4800K doesn't quite match the xenons.

I'm an auto photog, I can get some pictures for you if you like. I'm not local but if the price is right I'd be willing to order a set. I'm currently using stock bulbs and just ordered some PIAA's the day before seeing this but I could do a comparison of all three.

There has been some confusion on where to put the resistors.
So i will explain it briefly.
In the 3 series there is enough room to just leave the resistors in the housing behind the headlights.
in the 1 series there is not enough space to put the resistors inside and we do not recommend to cram it. all you have to do is get 2 sided 3m tape and tape it to the back of black housing piece.

So you tape them outside (in the engine bay) of the black housing cover? Doesn't that leave a wire coming out of the black housing cover that may cause problems with water getting inside the cover?

Some pictures of a 1 series install might help.

I guess i am not explaining it clearly.
you are taping them on the inside of the black cover.
When i said in an earlier post " on the outside" i was replying to someone saying that you are cramming the resistors with the AHL.
So i was explaining to him that you will not put the resistors next to the headlights like you do with the 3 series but you will tape it on the black cover away from the AHL.

The installation should be the same for most LED lights. You can tuck the resistors/heatsinks inside the cover away from the AHL motors. But to be more safe, you need to use velcro or two sided tape to hold them in place so they don't shift around.

Removing the black piece, removing the stock bulb and installing the LED bulb takes less than 2 minutes.
Putting back that black cover again, well that's a different story LOL

I have posted a comparison pic ( with more expensive kits)
If all these pics + the comparison +our 14 day money back guarantee does not convince you, then i rest my case sir.

You can buy a set, try it and if you dont like it send it back.

And this is a pic during the day on an e92 (since i do not have an e82 available).
Please tell me which of the cheap kits you are talking about are as bright as this during the day?
