Just bought 1er - need to sell '04 Mazda RX8 GT 6spd
Thought I might throw this up to see if there is any interest. It's already on the Rotary boards, Craigslist, Auto-trader. For sale: 2004 Titanium Gray Mazda RX8 GT. 62K miles. Asking $12,500. Meticulously maintained by rotary enthusiast. All documentation including original window sticker, all maintenance records, and receipts for aftermarket add-ons (see list below). Non-smoker, garaged, routinely waxed with Mequiars NXT and interior treated with Lexol. Car runs extremely strong with upgraded drive train and handles like a dream. Front rotors and pads replaced at 40k; both front and rear pads/rotors have plenty of life left in them. Faulty fuel pump replaced at 50k. Stock clutch remains strong and light with good feel (car has never been on a racetrack or drag strip!!). Plugs & Coils replaced within last year to maintain peak performance. Currently running Valvoline 10W-40 conventional oil (heavier than stock 5w-20) with Idemitsu Premix every 3-4 tanks to keep seals lubricated and maintain compression/ power; regardless, Mazda Motor/ drivetrain warranty has been extended to 100k miles. Body/paint is in excellent condition with minimal scratches on front-end (some to be expected with 5yr old car). There are a few minor door dings that need close inspection to see (likely an easy fix just haven’t gotten around to doing it). Rear-tint has a few minor bubbles with one longer run (approx 3”) – again, an easy fix; tint on side windows is perfect. Interior is in immaculate condition with minimal leather wear on drivers-seat side/thigh bolster. Tires have approx 35% tread left. I really hate to sell this car as it is an absolute blast to drive. I still get compliments all the time on how gorgeous and tastefully modded this car is, and how awesome it sounds. It is a back-road monster and eager to rev up to its 9,000 rpm redline (this car will out-handle many vehicles costing twice as much)! Sweet car. I had 3 RX-8's in a row when I lived in Australia. Good times...
