Brighter Halo lights on the new 335i - which type of bulb is it?!?

All,

Yesterday I went for a drive and notice a brand new 335i on the road, which mainly caught my eye because the halo's did not look yellow like the previous models (or the 1er), but instead they looked like a very nice cool white/blue. They matched the HID headlights in color.

Does anyone know if the bulbs that come on the 335i can be swapped into the 1er to get the same effect on the halo's? I know there are plenty of people trying the HID Halo kits, LED's, and a few other options in order to replace the stock H8 bulbs, however, I wonder if BMW has created a direct replacement bulb that achieves this.

Thanks!

The 3er LCI uses new LED corona rings. It is not a replacement halogen bulb.

Does anyone make a LED H8 bulb for our cars that won't throw any codes/errors?

Head over to E90post and they have a whole bunch of stuff regarding LED angel eyes. It's not a simple bulb replacement. Since LEDs aren't halogen bulbs, you can't exactly get an 'H8 LED bulb'

LED H8's are definitely all over Ebay...the quality is yet to be rated which is why I haven't purchased any. I think a set of hyperwhite H8 halogen bulbs will have to do if I decide to change them.

100W? I thought the OEM bulbs are only 35W? Are you throwing codes or melting your wiring or headlight housing?

Oli has had them on his car for a long time now. He is German. What he meant, I think is the car is only running eight hours per day/drive - and they are Ok.
