2009 Crimson Red 135i First Wax
First time waxing the new 135i - used Meguiar's Deep Crystal Carnauba Liquid Wax. Beautiful weather for waxing!

Thanks for the comments. I know it's weird - but I really had a great time waxing the 135i. My old car was white, and waxing it resulted in a cleaner white, but with this red, it just shines!

before wash: white car little grimy but shiny after wash: white car just lil shiny and not grimy with wax... it barely pops... meh at least there are never water spots and you cant ever see swirls! red on red is HOT much better than sedona with red (yes it has been done)

Looks great. Suggestion. Check out BMW Accessories for a slimline license plate frame: chrome or black. I have CR and the chrome(stainless steel) looks sharp. Ofcourse, I am a chrome guy and it matches the 135 and my BMW performance exhaust tips. Nick

The camera I use is the Canon SX10. I had the S2IS, which I really loved, but it broke and I bought the SX10.
http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/spec...non_sx10is.asp White cars are nice because they stay a lot cooler in direct sunlight. As for waxing - who knows how many times I've waxed the MR2 (White) - had it for about 13 years. You're right - does not show swirl marks, and water marks are very hard to see on white. Gotta say though, this red is so RED! -Joe http://www.lovehorsepower.com |

WOW Joe that looks the business.
I want to treat my 135 (due September) to a wax when I get it. Tell me what prep did you do....or just wash then apply the wax - just I noticed the wax says step 3? Thanks |
