good article... i think they struggled on having clear definitions of which car won. they should have recapped better. like, the 1M wins in steering. the M2 wins in livable space, etc. then had their summary. i guess their pressure was to declare a winner and both cars are so good. hard to tell. but anything that makes our 1Ms move valuable, i am all about

Even for a weekender like mine, I prefer to have some creature comfort (hence mine is fully loaded) and with that comes the weight. Can somebody do a quick calculation on the HP/weight and Peak Torque/weight ratio for both cars? I figure there is a sweet spot where any additional power is wasted unless you drive it like your hair is on fire at the track.
I don't know if I can live with something like a E30 M3 Evo or something totally different like an FD RX7 (not that I have ever driven either) as my only car, but the 1M can certainly be that only car I currently own |

FC on the other hand has no problem being an only car ..... I had one for 10 years! 1M is a car that can do it all with slight compromises in a few areas. |

I almost had an FC as my first car but it was a bit out of reach - good thing I went with a Prelude instead because from a cost perspective, I wouldn't be able to keep an FC running with practically zero income (just entering university when I got my first car). I wish I can drive a bone stock top of the line FD (LHD mind you) for a month just to get a feel for it. I went with the 1M over the Cayman S because the need for practicality as the only car even though it is only a weekender
