BEFORE and AFTER

Before and after snaps of mid pipes removal..

2.5 Inch stainless pipe to Y piece then 3 inch pipe to stock rear muffler.

The system still has to be pulled back out to be polished..

GAINS...well what can I say..

Its sounds awesome..Might be a bit loud for some peoples taste thou.

Sounds a little louder than stock at low rpm but once you open up the rev range...VVVRRRMMMMM.

AND how do you like the sound of your RR exhaust you just fitted.
Slightly different in the pipes than mine I noticed.

Done well!
That would have to be better flowing now, you would have to feel some difference especially with the JB3?
Are you going to do the rest of the exhaust?

Had a hi tech on my MCS and it had the best sound --not a drummy sound in the car but great outside note--great company to deal with .Do you have any prices?

Not yet that I can mention Bob..

They have taken our (mine and someone else's ) stock exhaust back to their factory in Bathurst to make a template, for off the shelf pipes for the 135.

Keep me/us in the loop, sounds (pardon the pun) like a good option.

Looks good. Local option is a good one! Did they say roughly how much they are targetting? Under $1k or over? Is Kris getting a high flow catted version?

Being a Hi Tech I bet it will not be cheap. The one on my Liberty was nearly 2K. I sure hope yours does not drone like mine on the open road. Poorly placed and inadequate resonator did not help.

Whilst known for their quality.I will look at alternatives first. Yours certainly looks good!

Hi Tech Exhausts Darlinghurst.
Why did you have to do that Joe?
I have heard of them and they only do quality work (other exhaust shops recommend them for specialised work). Reasonable pricing too. I forgot about them, but now.............Bugger! The imagination is going mad. I think they have the ability to do a system from the turbo's back. They know their stuff.
Thought I was going to get away with no exhaust changes till after the first service ................. but now .
Thanks Joe.

Hey! nice exhaust Joe

Looks like mine, but I've got the coupe version. Dyno graphs to come, seat of the pants says there might be 5-10rwkw. Lambros claims 10 to 16 but I'll prove the gains as soon as we can get into the dyno. Y adapter could be a bit smoother, but will put a pre-fab Y collector later. Sound is very nice, cant hear much difference at idle, open the car up and it sounds alot more exotic. Joe and I have tested them outside the car (he drove mine, I drove his) and they sound fantastic outside. The Coupe & Vert differ slightly in the floorpan so the exhausts are a tad different around the collector area.

Front straight pipes are premade 335 pipes which were already bent to suit. Saved welding!

Haha in that case, welcome to the world of illegal cars Kris and Joe! One serious question though...why mid pipe as opposed to down pipe?
