picture of 225/40-18 on an 8.5" wide
Anyone have a picture of a 225/40-18 stretched on a 8.5 inch wide 18" rim? I am looking for winter performance tires and would like to use my 18" factory tires for the winter. Thanks in advance.

The stretch on a 8.5" wheel is very minor. Sometimes depending on tire manufacturer it may not even seem like they are stretched. You will be fine if you decide to go this route. -Charles@VMRWheels

I mounted 225/40-18 all around on the stock wheels for my winter wheels. They aren't with me now, so I can't take pictures, but it isn't that significant of a stretch, but there is some there. The tire specs on tire rack say that the tire can go on a 7.5-9" wheel, so by their number actually the front is closer to the edge of specification.
