I don't know if it is or not due to Dinan website being slightly ambiguous as to the total pricing (well, it confuses me) is the price $2600 including the core charge? Or is the price $2600 PLUS $1400 core charge...if the price is PLUS that core charge then no I don't think it is a better overall package/price. Not to mention that the price there is only for the LSD and not the installation as I understand it. Nearly $600 price difference between the Quaife and Wavetrac...and for $600 I would want to know if there is a marked difference between the two units performance on the track (road racing to be exact....).

I need to call them and find out what is the out the door price. my understanding is the price would be $2500 and they take your diff or you can keep your diff and pay an extra $1400. as far as installation their site says 2.9 hours so thats good. apparently the evolution racework car sports a wavetrac so it can't be bad

So that would mean $2600 with core and no differential fluid (or $3900 without core) (DINAN) vs. $1924.90 taking your diff, with diff. fluid (or $2724.90 without core, with diff. fluid).......I am guessing install time should be similar for both units as well as any warranty for the part itself to be similar..whatever shop you use should guarantee their work anyway so that is a slightly moot point (although I would wager more on DINAN than against them). This is interesting stuff as a LSD is on my short list of things to do before I return to the States in June/July...

thats what I was thinking. doesn't make sense to post $2600 without the core. I am guessing all you need to do is to make an appointment with one of dinans dealers and just wait while they exchange the diffs. sounds too simple and easy for my skeptical mind but it sure sounds good

Well the difference with dinan is that you get an entire pumpking already built, all you have to do is swap the pumpkins.

you will notice a substantial improvement with the m3 sway. less body roll. like I said, the RFT are pretty damn good. wear them out and move on to what Lubo got. can't beat the dunlop star specs. closest thing to an r comp that you could drive to the track with.
VIR was freaking amazing. Don't know if you saw the vid i posted up on here. Back straight I hit 140mph. It's got a decent mix of some very techincal corners along with fast S's. From Alexandria it was a 4.5 hour drive including a long stop at bojangles for lunch and another just stretching stop...w/o the stops I could have made it in 3.5 hours easy. Summit point is convenient, I've been there a few times, and let me just say it's not halfway as nice as VIR. If you've never been there it's totally worth the drive and stay. Normally I get a buddy or 2 to go with me and we split a room at the track (there place is a full resort in addition to a race track, has a spa for the mrs. haha). Room prices are about 100 bucks a night, so splitting it isn't bad. Think i'm going again 23rd and 24th of April. Another thing you can do there is camp out too.

@OneThirtyFive- thanks man. I see you are local. we should get some of our local guys to the track this year. it'll be fun

@Focusedintntions- no doubt vir is a top notch circuit. I am planning on hitting it in may hopefully. good to know about their resort. gonna need to soak up in a jacuzzi after a track day. last year I would be beat after a track day. felt like having gone a round with mike tyson. my neck muscles and my kidneys were in pain afterwards. so forget camping

Mike tyson would leave your face hurting much more than your kidneys lol

Your only hope is to pigeon race him to gain any sort of respect back.

Sounds like a plan to me. We should probably toss something up on the local subforum to see what other interest there is. I was planning to kick the season off with a SCCA Autox event in April and then take it from there.

Jsublime - looking at the weekend of the 23-24th... registration site is www.trackdaze.com I believe. Found it on the calender on motorsportsreg.com. External link. 395 for both days with about 2 hours track time a day.

Already registered with NASA for their April summit point. Planning to do the track daze in may at the Shenandoah. It's a great technical track with 23 turns in 2.2 miles. You should come. I'll shoot for VIR in June

I probably will do the summit point track in May...close to home and cheaper too. I just really had a fantastic time at VIR last time and really wanted to do it again. Finally got to the point on that track i was really going fast and learning it. Don't want to forget it!

yeah I know what you mean. it takes 2-3 tries at a any given track to learn and pick up speed. I was able to cut my time by 5 sec each time I went. of course each time I went I had a new mod too. I don't know if you said you had been to shenandoah or not but it really is a nice track. very challenging and technical. anyway lets plan on making it to the may event.
