I for one wouldn't know where to start and we have no local support here in Brisbane. If I had the support I would definitely go for it though. Bolt-on mods on the other hand can be installed and forgotten about and are completely safe to us so you really can't go wrong.
What's to know? You install the meth kit and then all you do is top up your meth tank when it's empty. It's dead simple.

Can't be that simple if 'saferisk' is here saying his isn't working properly?

*shrug* If it doesn't seem like a good idea to you, don't do it. Nothing worse than buying something and then worrying about it all the time.

In actual fact I also think that meth is pretty dead simple in execution, I'm just having a few troubles switching it on!

Safe, you will know it is functioning when the hazard lights (indicator arrows) flash on your dashboard. If they aren't flashing when you are accelerating hard then it's not turned on. Check your tank has methanol in it. Then press the button on your key fob and try again. Make sure the key fob batteries are working (a light will come on when you press the button). If this still doesn't work then contact whoever installed it, or Adrian at Vishnu for assistance. Best to send him a PM here.

Kenny, how's the car going?

Question - where are your meth bungs placed - In the elbow or charge pipe?

The Evolution Raceworks charge pipe has one or two bungs, I got the model with two methanol bungs. The Vishnu methanol kit comes with a meth elbow I believe.

So your 2 meth bungs located in the charge pipe? I thought it was better to have the meth bungs placed in the elbow for better atomization and heat absorption and also because it's not ideal to have meth bungs so close to the throttle body. I'm looking at the ER Charge Pipe but I see that they have 2 versions, one which is just the charge pipe and one which incorporates the elbow. So are you using the meth bungs in the CP or the meth bungs in the Vishnu elbow that was provided?

I am using the two bungs in the ER charge pipe. I am not using the Vishnu methanol kit elbow.

Kenny,

What a great thread, all the information i have been looking for in 1 thread.

I was hoping to meet up last week on the drive with Simon.

i recently purchased a 135i with all the bling bits from BMW. i have been to Adrian and the Procede fitted which made a massive increase from standard.

Am currently looking to install the AR downpipes with a cp-e mid section and a Dixis rear muffler. after all the dyno information it seems it is only going to add very little power for what it will cost.

Hopefully will meet up on the next drive day.

Paul.

- downpipes roughly 15kw (20whp),
- the FMIC would be around 5kw (7whp)
- midpipes would be around 5kw (7whp)
- axel back section 0kw

I came up with the 5kw for the midpipes because Maddad did a dyno for their resonated midpipes and gained 10whp (7kw) on a stock car. I think this would be more like 5kw on the dynos that we use.

This is how I think the gains are distributed from what I've read and I have no facts to back anything up though
I just realised, if I turn off the meth kit and turn the PROcede to valet mode, I can dyno the car and get a stock + boltons number! Why didn't I think of that before?

Lol

That's why there are so many dynos which show the baseline number and just the gains from the tune. It takes a few seconds to change maps so you don't have to take the car off the dyno to see the difference

I think the JB4/Procede are fantastic, you can basically decide how many kilowatts you want to put down on any given day. It comes in handy on rainy days or if someone else is driving the car!

Sim yeah for sure, I'm keen to see how the 135 goes. Mostly interested in tap speed because the runflats and no LSD are going to limit the ET potential.

Your TIE fighter should run a respectable trap .. it's got a bucketload of power.
Benny's TT should do a decent time too. Here's what my stock 996 TT did at WSID:
