135i vs Streets of Willow

Hi all,
I am debating going on my first track day and had some questions for all of you 135i'ers out there that might have ran this track.

1. Brake fade: has anyone ran a 20-30 min session with the 135i at the Streets of Willow and had the stock brakes survive?

2. Overheating: I have the PPK and DCT. I have gotten into limp mode before due to overheating when the tranny had some software issues. What is the likelyhood the 135i would survive 4x 20-30 min sessions at the SoW?

3. Warranty: I recall reading some post before that BMW frequently monitors tracks and can void the warranty. Fact or Myth?

My 135i is fully stock (has the M-sport pkg, DCT, and PPK) with the exception of the tires (swapped RFT for MPSS 225, 255).

Thank you!

1. I did streets as my first track day and my stock brakes seemed fine. I believe I did get a bit of a mushy feel but that is due to fluid / pads. If you upgrade fluid and pads the stock brakes will be amazing.

2. My DCT has never overheated including at Big Willow & Buttonwillow.

3. Go to the track without license plates or blue tape your plate if it bothers you.

Cooler is right; i've also been to SOW and if you are going to track your car more than once i'd upgrade to some race/semi-race pads and Motul 660 etc.

I looked up the Motul 660 and it looks top of the line. I was thinking of the ATE super blue, but some reviews say people were boiling the ATE and had no problems with the Motul so I guess I am sold on the fluid Thank you for your suggestion!

Have you changed your pads as well? Any recommendations? I looked around the forum and there are mixed reviews on the EBC Red/Yellow.

Go with either Motul 660 or Castrol SRF. I'm running Castrol SRF and Ferodo DS2500 pads. I ran the combo at Buttonwillow and my pedal actually didn't get mushy at all during the track day.
