FC 2AAF with no other codes

During the last week my car cranks a little longer before starting and have
four 2AAF ( fuel pump plausibility) codes with no other codes. Seems most likely it is the HPFP and/or fuel low pressure sensor. Original HPFP was replaced in 2010. It failed and had SES light. I live 90 miles from the nearest dealer. In 2010 they sent a flatbed truck and replaced the HPFP no charge under warranty. From what I've read unless there is another related code ( Low pressure codes 29DC, 29F1, 29F2 ) BMW is not ready to preemptively replace the HPFP. So my options are to wait until it fails and get it replaced under the
extended warranty or pay my indy to do it before I'm stranded.

Has anyone gotten their dealer to replace their HPFP with just a 2AAF code and no SES?

IF you have a N54 you should be covered.

Thanks Dack, I'll call my dealer Monday and see if I have to wait for it
to completely fail before they will replace it.

Got a call from the dealer today and the HPFP is failing and will be replaced under
warranty. He offered to replace my Low Pressure fuel sensor for parts cost with no
additional labor. Even though I replaced the LPF sensor 3 years ago I said yes please.
All mods in my signature were left on except I reloaded the stock map and not a word
was said about it. This is the dealer I bought the car new from and have always had
a good experience with them. Glad I didn't have to wait for it to totally fail before
having the work done under warranty.

Picked the car up last week and they also covered the fuel line and sensor, 13-53-7-622-751, under warranty. Nice Christmas present from BMW.

Nice!

Sorry to bring this to life. I was in the boat this past week.

High Pressure Sensor was replaced - my expense closed to $400

Fuel Pump was replaced under warranty.

Dealer recommended to replace the Low Pressure Sensor as well, I said no because dealer was charging me close to $800.

Is there a way you can share a copy of your invoice - deleting the personal info?

Thanks in advance.

Looks like my SA George did me a favor. I bought the car from them and
have a good relationship with the dealer.

Thank you Gap.

I will check with my paper work, but I was indeed charged for the High Pressure Sensor.
