Rockland County here!! I have been told my dealer ordered the car but havent received a number yet. I told him I would like it around May so hopefully I will get it by then. I would love to join you guys even if my car doesnt come in by the meet. It would be really nice to meet fellow owners. We should have a meet towards the end of the summer also once we have time to play with our new toys so we can show off mods and whatever else.

grew up in North Arlington, Bergan County but now I live in Philly...I'm definitely down to meet up early Fall since I did ED of the cabrio for June 15th and I don't expect to have it stateside till mid-August...keep me in the loop!

Westchester here. I am getting a June build car (by choice) but I am down for anything after that! I used to have a great crew when I had a G35 Coupe then I got the Lotus and it ended up being a bunch of old guys with whom I had little in common but I look forward to getting a solid group for the 135i. See you guys in the summer!!!

Did you use the Lotus as a daily driver or have the g35 at the same time and used that as a daily driver? There are two guys in my office building that have a lotus and drive that thing everyday, even a few days this winter. I think they are amazing cars but head they are extremely uncomfortable.
Im going to test drive the 135i march 1st and most likely setting my order in stone so hopefully its still due to arrive in may/june. Im 22 so you'll have alteast one other young guy to talk to.

ok guys decision time for the first tri state meet!

come if you have a 1 or a 3 or an m3 or any bmw on order or in the garage....
or for that matter any car...no one is excluded!

If you are coming to see other 1 owners, to check out 1's and to eat some bbq then this is the meet for u!

Plz no drinking (alcohol) or racing or donuts or highway pulls...do that on your own time so 1addicts locally does not get a bad name.

1-liberty state park

2-Bear mtn in NY state

(best choice but may not be the easiest place to meet, but has great pic places and great bbq places and easy access and great parking)

3-Watchung reservation in nj

(off of 78 about 25 mins from nyc, been there alot for subbie meets and lots of area to chill and they have grills there so all we need is charcoal and food)


Any other suggestion plz post but we need to book this soon if permits are needed!

Then we can decide who in bringing hotdogs, buns, soda, ketchup, plates etc...

and animals allowed too!

I am two minutes out of the Watchung, heh, drive those roads multiple times a day. They are kinda beat form the winter.

Unfortunately, I won't make it either way though, I'll be in Germany doing the ED thing.

Im up for Bear Mountain if you guys go there. I most likely ordering my car this weekend after the test drive so if I get it it wont be till may/june though. But in anycase its about 30min from me and a great open place. They have the biggest car shows there in the area. The whole field is always packed with atleast a few hundred cars so there would be plently of room for us to spread out and bbq. They have a nice small lake with tons of picnic tables and grills already there. Its right off the palisades parkway so its easy to get to from 87/287 and some other highways. If you get bored there are always paddle boats, skating rink, lodge and a ZOO! lol.

I have an Altima SE-R that I've been using as a DD for 3 years and that lease is up in July. The 135i will be my one and only for a while. The Exige was an amazing car but you have to know going into it that it's nothing more than a performance car and sacrifices all else. If you want a car you can comfortably drive to work then it is certainly not the car for you but if you want a balls-out race car for some twisties on the weekends or some track days, I doubt there is a better car for the money.

I might actually be picking my 1er up that day depending on when it's finished and what ship it gets on. Would love to make it up there in a 135i, but only time will tell.

I'm in PA, but would consider driving up for a meet. I won't get mine till late April so May would be great for me. It is worth the drive cause I doubt there are too many buyers down here.
