Back seat flooding please help
It's been 2 months since i first noticed my rear left seat all wet, i removed it, and found it all flooded, ive noticed it only gets wet when i drive, i can leave it under the rain and no water comes in, i've sealed the whole chassis under the seats with a spray undercoat, and no luck, there's no sign of water coming from doors or roof; i also found a green feet-long plastic piece with a fuel sign on it that i don't know where should be placed, i just found it floating under the seats (im trying to upload a pic, but my ipad wony let me)
Anyone with any ideas or solutions, or similar problems, please help Ps: didn't knew where to place this post, sorry if it's misplaced My car is a 120i 2007 hatchback |

There was an issue with the alignment of the A/C evaporator drain on some models. Under certain conditions the condensate would not go down the drain and would go under the carpet.

Also the door panels... If you had any work done in the windows..
There is a vapor barrier that is adheared to the door with butyl tape.. unless the butyl is replaced after working on the car, it never really seals correctly. also the clips that hold the door panel on have rubber washers that seal the holes.. they need to be on also. BMW designed there door so that water actuall travels thru the door and out the holes at the bottom.. hence the lines on our rockers as the stuff flushes thru over time.. 1 bad vapor barrier can flood the inside of a car 2 or 3 inches in 1 good storm.. good luck..

Thanks
I managed to fix the problem, there was a leak on the chasis right behind the door, i simply used some spray sealant; thank you for your replies,
I'm still wondering about the green feet-long plastic piece with a fuel sign on it, haven't found where it goes |

Can you take a picture of it? It might be something used during manufacturing.
