spark plugs

What spark plugs are the higher boost cars running? What are you gapping them at?

I would gap them stock, and if anything maybe slightly closer. DO NOT use the NGK plugs.


There is no proven colder plug for DI yet. (at least for the N54/55)

Can't gap the OEM plugs. Just buy them from BMW and install. You'll need a special spark plug socket for these guys.

This DI is a new animal for me to get use to. Where ia a good place to get plugs and tool?

BMW dealer for the plugs. This is the exact tool that i use. There are many others that do the same thing.

You need a 14mm thin walled 12point spark plug socket.

I think most BMW dealers can get you the tool. Or the online bmw dealers. I bought a Hazet socket (3/8ths drive) local from my German parts store. You could even buy a SnapOn or MacTools socket too.
