Any numbers on the BMW performance exaust

Hi, I like to stay stock as much as possible and when BMW offers an upgrade, I like to take it, especially when its put out by the M division, I have the performance pack on my 135 and once again,,they lie on numbers,,,hot as hell!!! But on the exaust, they don't give any figures, the cost posted on bmw is reasonable compared to aftermarket,,yeah pretty unusual, but does anyone have,,1 a better cost and 2 numbers and specs,,ie,,,hp trqu gain,,,reduction in flow resistance etc

Don't expect any real power gains with the BMW PE, but the car will definitely sound more powerful. The tone is deeper, with a bit more volume, but not obnoxious. For power gains you need to look at downpipes, but that's not in the "keep it stock" category.

Thanks for the reply, I finally found some numbers and your right, kinda what I expected,,3-5 hp gain, nothing listed on trq. Have you heard those exaust? I haven't yet, not much info on the web either. Id love to put downpipes but my dealership isn't too friendly with mods. Im pretty happy with the power as it is, the BMW Perf Pack makes a huge diff from my previous 135 w/o it.

I thought BMW said the PE was good for a 4 Hp gain. But then I also saw a thread where some magazine tested their "project car" and it lost 6 WHP.

All I know is I still WANT a PE bad!!! I don't think anything BMW Performance puts their name on makes fewer Hp.

I want one too, I agree, I don't think they put out anything that would loose hp, 4 makes sense,,3-5,,,4 in the middle, Id be happy with four as long as it sounds awesome, stock sounds pretty good but a little deeper and louder would be nice. I think its reasonable too, under 1500 installed, keeps warranty good

$1,500 !?!? That sounds rather high to me! Tischer sells the PE for $895 and any dealer should not charge more than 1 hours labor to install the PE kit. Then the part is guaranteed for 2 years with unlimited miles.

I would ask you dealer to come down in price and see IF they would match Tischer's (or United or who ever) price.

The PE exhaust really sounds good in person. Very "poppy" and lots of gurgles. And when you go WOT it just has an awsome wail to it!

The sound is really nice. Driving through parking lots, the sound is deep and it gurgles when you let off the gas. On the highway it is only slightly louder than stock and I have noticed zero drone. With the windows up, you don't really hear much of a difference. WOT is a different story. Very throaty with a slight Italian sound...very unique. To put it in context, my buddy has an e92 M3 with an Akrapovic EVO exhaust. His car has to be one of the best sounding cars I've ever heard. He constantly comments how good my car sounds. It makes me laugh every time.

You can find some videos with the sound on YouTube. Listen with a set of head phones. Then keep in mind that it sounds 100 times better in person.
