128i came standard with SSK or was I duped?
Hey guys. I ordered my SSK from Tischer BMW a few months back and finally had the chance to have the dealer put it in. During service I got a call from the guy telling me that the part number of the shift lever in there was the same as the one on the SSK. I did some quick googling and told him to put it in anyway as I knew that the car could not have came standard with it.
The car was bought at 30k miles, presumably from someone who leased it. I don't think the previous owner put any mods on it as the car was bone stock when I got it. However, when I picked the car up from the dealer, the mechanic was right. Both shift lever's had the same part number. Looking at the part numbers on http://www.turnermotorsport.com/p-51...ible-2008.aspx and http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...82&hg=25&fg=95 The SSK lever part number is: 25117542200 http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...88&hg=25&fg=05 The OEM lever part number is: 25117551263 Did my car already have an SSK in there? Did I just waste my money? Old Lever New Lever |
