LMFAO... I ment to say first "new" car. The day I turned 18 in HS I walked over to scion, put 8k down on a tC hen they first came out and drove it home. First manual car too. It was a fun little car. I eventually got hit by the mod bug and ended up ripping the motor out, having it fully built, and then putting 14 PSI through it and running c16 leaded race fuel through it. It deff turned a lot of head and pissed off a lot of muscle car guys... lol

I must be missing the subtlety because this sure looks like doubt to me : -
Quote - Excuse me for judging what you have so kindly posted on these forums for the last 3 or so years... Let's take a trip back memory lane shall we? So whatever job you were doing in PR/'government relations' when you first got the 125i, you got some sort of bonus in which you could have got an M3. Then there was talk of modding because you had so much cash to spare, which never really happened. Then sometime you were having trouble getting out your contract because seemingly you couldn't afford the car (if I remember correctly, you were no longer in that job position anymore?) Then you started a new job/partnership with someone in (PR?) and all was rosy again. Still not much modding going on, unless you count black grills. Then suddenly you stopped that job, and were a professional detailer last year. Which only lasted 6 months or so? And now currently at you super high paid job in Canberra. Obviously, there's a lot that goes on in your life that we don't know or hear about (and we hear a lot about it!). But it just seems... 'odd' that for someone who chops and changes and has so many issues, suddenly goes from a $60k car, to a $300k car in days. Judge me for judging you all you want, but this is the information you have given us over the years... Tay, interesting to hear your point of view. As I said, everyone here only reads what you post. And to hear how one year you struggle to cover the payments on a 125, then only a year or two later you're rolling in a supercar? Questions pop in my head. Add to this the immaturity, (street racing et al) and attention seeking behaviour ('I'm quitting this forum thread') too... And let's be honest here, you've talked a lot of sh1t before so things just didn't add up. I like to question things in case nobody has noticed... [edit] And let's not forget we are dealing with a guy who made up multiple accounts to spruke his detailing business and set up another competitor to get banned. Says a lot about a person right there... [/edit] |

Gazz, sorry if it came out like that but no, definitely not doubt. Anyone who has a real life presence like Tay would be stupid to be making stuff up like that?
I was just questioning and trying to understand how someone who has said what he has said comes across a car like that. Why am I the only one who thinks it's odd? |

1q2w3e4r; His financial position has no bearing on me. I am just sick of douche bags who lie and seek attention get defended by people. Because when you defend people like that, you're saying it's ok to do it.
Like Chris Brown fans. To me, if you're a fan of him, you think it's ok to beat up women. |

I agree with you that on the face of it it appears surprising but wierder things can and do happen.
I know a guy who in a very short space of time bought, all brand new, 3 rolls royces, a ferrari, a lamborghini, a bentley, a bmw, an aston martin, a mercedes and probably others I don't know of. We used to wonder how he was doing it and now we know. You may have read of him recently, his name is Michael Issikidis. Check it out. And no, I'm not drawing any comparison to Tay. I don't know the guy and his business is his affair as long as doesn't impact me. Then again bullshit is fair game to be called out. |

You've posted up a number of posts stating his job history as you understand it, financial position and question how he is/has affording to pay for his car. I maintain it's no one's business but his own, you've no proof he is lying. And ultimately should he be (or anyone) that's just a sad state of affairs for them. I'd feel sorry for them more than anything else. By your logic above, you'd support mass genocide and the Nazi party. As BMW supplied motorcycles to the mecahnised army and built engines for the Luftwaffe. Bit of a silly generalisation no? |

I'm not saying he is lying! I'm trying to understand how one does it (knowing the information he has given). Quite frankly, I could learn from it.
And to be fair, technically BMW didn't themselves do the wrong thing. That lies in the hands of the Nazi's. I am in the food business, if someone eats too much and dies, does that make me a murderer? |
