Yeah....always a good dilemma to have. I hadn't ridden my ZX-10R for quite a few months. I took it out yesterday for a long ride. It reminded me of why I'm still holding on to it after all these years.

What you've said is why I waited till I grew up some before getting into sport bikes. It's also why I go to the track and get my need for speed fix so I don't get tempted to do it on the street.

In all seriousness though, it wasn't just my need for speed that made me sell it. Commuting in NJ (where I bought it) vs DC (where I live now) is an entirely different animal. Without any exaggeration, I almost died on a weekly basis driving to work in DC. After about 4 months of trying different routes and riding defensively as possible, I decided I liked life too much to leave it in the hands of others on a daily basis. Felt so much safer on NJ highways.
