Am I the only one with this many problems?

Ok, I just want to know if I am the only one who has had a lot of problems with my bmw. I've had it for a little over 4 months now and the problems I've had so far:
*Alignment was off since new
*Steering Wheel was off since new
*Rear driver side door would not open from the inside since new
*All the window molding on the inside is folded, so I have streaks on the inside of the window anytime I put them up or down
*The locks squeak very loudly when they lock
*The rear drivers side door makes obnoxiously loud noises when opened, somewhat like an old wooden door would
*The area where the change goes rattles loudly
*Sometimes the engine makes a ticking noise
*Where my overhead lights/sunroof control is, both plastic pieces are falling down.
*When the E-brake is halfway up the light will often not even come on saying the E-brake is on.
*The transmission will slip into neutral sometimes (it's an auto)
*My idrive takes a very long time to turn on sometimes. The dealer said it was normal when i asked them about it, but when I was there the other day the service woman said it was taking a long time.
*The other day I could not change the volume on the radio and once I had turned off the car and locked it, the radio did not turn off until it felt like it was time (about an hour or two).

I think that is about all. Is that a lot or is it just me? Anyone had that many?

*Rear driver side door would not open from the inside since new - NO
*All the window molding on the inside is folded, so I have streaks on the inside of the window anytime I put them up or down - NO
*The locks squeak very loudly when they lock - NO. They go click-click.
*The rear drivers side door makes obnoxiously loud noises when opened, somewhat like an old wooden door would - NO.
*The area where the change goes rattles loudly - NO. Unless it's filled with change.
*Sometimes the engine makes a ticking noise - IT'S A BOMB
*Where my overhead lights/sunroof control is, both plastic pieces are falling down. - WTF
*When the E-brake is halfway up the light will often not even come on saying the E-brake is on. - Haven't tried.
*The transmission will slip into neutral sometimes (it's an auto) - NO
*My idrive takes a very long time to turn on sometimes. The dealer said it was normal when i asked them about it, but when I was there the other day the service woman said it was taking a long time. - Sometimes takes a little longer than I'd like but not "a very long time".
*The other day I could not change the volume on the radio and once I had turned off the car and locked it, the radio did not turn off until it felt like it was time (about an hour or two). - Sometimes the radio stays on when shutting off the engine. Another push of the start button will turn it off. Usually. (no foot on brake). Volume not changing sounds bad.

That's absurd. Bring it in and demand that all of these problems are fixed. Mentioning lemon laws helps too, if there's resistance, or they can't seem to get it fixed. They're required to give you a new car if they can't fix this one. But, even if they can, I wonder what else is wrong.

Sounds like you need to reboot your car.

I should clarify that the steering wheel and allignment were both fixed after my second visit to the dealership. They also fixed the rear door not opening from inside.

The one that's got me is the auto shifting into N by itself.

HOW...it's not like it's very loose to begin with. Do you mean the transmission shifts into N even though the stick doesn't move or does the stick "pop" into N?

Oh...and if the ticking noise from the engine is after you've driven it, you can scratch that off the list as that is normal.

I don't hit the shifter into N, it just goes into N then once it reved back down it seems to go in drive fine.

And this is what the overhead lights and such look like.

I also had an allignment problem, but the dealer wanted nothing to do with it. I even showed them a computer analysis printout that showed them that it was, and they said that warranty does not cover that. Took it to a second dealer and they told me the same!!!

Oh I have, 4 times, I'm going to call tommorrow to make an appointment. I think it's bad when the woman who gives out the loanar cars knows who you are before you tell her. I know that is what the warrenty is for, but I think it is a lot of things wrong for a new car.

But your overhead lights/sunroof controls issue is rather glaring...don't tell me they can't diagnose that, you might want to try a different dealer...

What was your build date again?

my probs since buying my 320i were
1) rear windscreen rubber sightly loose-fixed by dealer
2) dtc light comes on at start up- fixed with new chip in steering wheel by dealer
3) rear seat bottom left black corner plastic piece-driver seat dropped out- replaced reluctantly by dealer.

the last defect seems very common. must be a manufacturing defect!

touch wood no major probs yet.
good luck!

That's a lot... sorry to hear that dude. I thought I had it bad with my changed temperature pump and radiator in two months. Though I think the radiator is a pretty major change with only 1,700 miles. You should demand they fix all that crap, we didn't pay over $40k for our cars to have it be doing that shit.

that is BS from your dealers-alignment is covered under warranty-mine is-make them adjust it. This is a common problem in new e90's. Now most dealers will not rotate tires because of BMW suspension geometry and its sensitivity to wheel "roundness"

if your engine is ticking while it is running, take the car in to the dealership. Make sure to take it in while it's actually making the sound though!

Would this fit under the lemon law, (if they tried to correct it 3 or more times and it still is not fixed)?

I made an appointment today for May 1st. After the first 3 problems the woman asked if I was done and was shocked at my list of stuff. I knew I also forgot that everytime I start it (cold or not) the car shakes similar to the shake you get right before you are going to stall a manual. I wonder how long they will have my car.
