I've found the auto A/C in the 1 to work really well. In my mazdaspeed3 i was never able to use auto as it just didn't work effectively to make it cool enough, and my 330zhp always seemed to get too cold on auto.

I will say that the auto didn't seem to cool you enough before the windows were tinted, once i got my standard 20% tint the A/C works 5x better.

I have to agree, it's pretty f-ing annoying. Also annoying are the people on here with later model year 1's who think they know it all about the "ALL" button, when in fact earlier model years like ours don't have that option and is instead the "REST" button. My message to them is if you're gonna be an a-hole, at least know what you're talking about.

New owner here, first post and I did NOT read the manual. Just googled what "rest" does.
