Detailer and/or clearbra installer in Boston area?
Can anyone recommend a good detailer and/or clearbra installer in the Boston area? I just picked up a Z4MR this past weekend (don't worry, will still drive and love the 1) and want to clean up some swirl marks from the previous owner.
Thanks! |

I have not used him myself, but have heard so many good things (and recommendations) about Rick Nelson of Unique Car Care in Wakefield, it would be the first place I took my car for detailing or clear bra installation.
They have some good photos on their Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Uniqu...g/449667135170 As well as this intro message on the Porsche forums: http://forums.rennlist.com/rennforum...es-inside.html |

I can very highly recommend Rick Nelson at Unique for both (Clear Bra and detailing). He did an outstanding clear bra application and detail on my car. Here is pictorial for your review: http://www.autopia.org/forum/click-b...a-install.html
There will also be a story about him in the upcoming Boston Bimmer if you are a BMWCCA-Boston Chapter member. MJM Last edited by MJM; 06-24-2012 at 03:27 PM.. |

One more vote for Rick at Unique Car Care. Here's the detail work he did on my old 135i:
http://www.autopia.org/forum/click-b...r-care-**.html And the detail/clear bra install on my current Audi S4: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Unique...7135170&type=1 Thanks Rick! Last edited by nobbyv; 07-08-2012 at 12:52 PM.. |

Hey Rick, I've been on the fence about bringing my AW 1M in for PPF. I saw Mok's VO 1M this past weekend and was very impressed with the work!
I remember having the PPF done on my AW E46 ZHP by a different vendor and it hazed and built a yellowish tint to it over time - I eventually pealed it off. Does the film you use (Xpel Ulyimate) also show dirt/dust easier on Alpine White cars? And what type of warranty does it come with? |

Definitely do it! You don't want to wait till you've got all the rocks chips on your car and regret like me especially if you need to make a trip down to NY from time to time heh Give him a call and I'm sure he'll take good care of ya. Check your pm! |

@DSCPLN,
Rick from Unique installed Xpel Ultimate on the full front of my AW 135i vert a few months ago. I highly recommend his shop....excellent workmanship on the instal and he really wants to make his customers happy. If you plan on getting this done don't go anywhere else! Sean |

As a Wakefield resident my whole (well, I'm only 22) life, Unique Car Care has always been the place to drive by and gawk at the awesome cars they're working on. All the Boston area high end car guys trust this place and always have.
That said, when I pick up my AW 135i this month, I'll eventually be stopping by to check out clear bra options. |

I had mine done by them. They do good work but if I could do it all over again, Id go with someone else. The only reason being is they have pre cut clearbras which show the lines. A custom one is by far the way to go cuz they wrap the edges so you cant see the line except for where it goes across the hood. Now that my bra is 4 years old, I will for sure be going somewhere else to get a custom one cut |
